Our revenue streams include insurance (Medicaid and commercial), contracts, grants, program income, and fundraising. We are growing and need a financial leader who can bring structure, clarity, and consistency across all areas.
Position Overview
We are looking for a CFO to take ownership of the full financial system across all companies and programs. This role requires someone who can see how everything connects—across multiple revenue streams, departments, and entities—and ensure it is all working together efficiently. You will work directly with the CEO and department leaders to monitor performance, identify issues early, and bring clear financial insight to decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial System Oversight
- Oversee financial performance across all companies and programs
- Maintain visibility across all revenue streams, including:
- Residential services
- Outpatient / IOP / PHP programs
- Medicaid and commercial insurance
- County contracts and grants
- Training programs
- Recovery housing (cost of living)
- Fundraising and donations
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports
- Provide:
- Month-over-month and year-over-year comparisons
- Program-level performance breakdowns
- Develop and deliver quarterly consolidated financials across all entities
- Maintain clear cash flow visibility
Analysis & Issue Identification
- Monitor financial flow across all areas
- Identify:
- Delays in collections
- Revenue inconsistencies
- Operational bottlenecks
- Analyze root causes and bring solutions to leadership
Performance Optimization
- Evaluate margins across programs and services
- Analyze cost structures and staffing relationships
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance
Planning & Growth Support
- Build financial models for:
- Census growth
- Program expansion
- Revenue mix optimization
- Support strategic decisions with clear financial data
Leadership Integration
- Work directly with CEO and department leaders
- Ensure financial insight is integrated into operational decisions
- Help maintain alignment across all areas of the organization
Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial leadership
- Experience working across multiple programs, entities, or revenue streams
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow, and analysis
- Ability to identify problems and communicate solutions clearly
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment
Compensation
- Salary: ~$ (based on experience)
- Additional long-term incentives may be considered

Our vision at WisHope Recovery Center is to foster hope and healing by providing an individualized approach and a continuum of care that supports the whole person – the mind, the body and the soul.
WisHope Recovery Center was founded in 2016 by Peter Brunzelle. Peter is WisHope Recovery’s Executive Director and serves on the Waukesha County Heroin Task Force Board. He also serves as president of the Wisconsin Association of Sober Housing (WASH), a nonprofit organization that establishes standards and quality assurance in recovery housing and affiliates for the state of Wisconsin. He is also a person in long-term recovery.
WisHope Recovery Center (WRC) was founded because of the gap in integrated substance use and mental health treatment services available in Wisconsin. “There wasn’t a place where one could go for treatment that supported multiple pathways to recovery,” Brunzelle says. “If you needed support for psychiatric medication, medicated-assisted treatment, or were dealing with co-occurring disorders you were not accepted at most treatment centers. It really was a one size fits all approach across the state. This is why I created WRC. Not only do we support all pathways to recovery, but we integrate family programming into our treatment approach. We understand that including loved ones in one’s recovery journey from the start is critical as this allows for consistency and enhanced healing. When clients leave our program, they’ve already worked hard to repair and improve their support systems, which makes it easier for them to rebuild their lives when they are ready to move onto the next chapter.”
